Dr. Hu has a long and experienced history as an orthopedic surgeon, but has the additional specialty of podiatry (a relatively rare specialty in China). Dr. Hu was original trained in orthopedics in China, but has also done post-graduate training in the USA in San Francisco.
Dr. Malcolm Ritchie is another rare specialist in China today: he is a Chiropractic physician (Chiropractor, or specialist in the non-invasive care of the central nervous system).
Dr. Ritchie specializes in non-interventional therapies aimed at keeping his patients well, happy and pain-free. His pre-and post surgical work complements that of Drs. Al-Salahat and Hu, as does his work in wellness, rehabilitation and long-term therapy. If it involves the bones, and it isn’t surgical, stop by for a consultation with Dr. Ritchie.

Meet the Foot Specialist of Puhua International: Dr. Baoyan Hu
Nothing is more basic to human happiness and self-sufficiency that the ability to get up and walk. The human foot is a remarkable thing, and our lives literally ride on these two miracles of nature.
Yet sometimes things do go wrong, and nothing is more frustrating than to have our basic functions, such as walking, become curtailed by pain, discomfort, or other obstinate limitations.
Those two feet were made for walking: fortunately that is what they will continue to do with the expertise of Puhua International’s orthopedic foot specialist, or podiatrist, Dr. Haoyan Hu.
Not only is Dr. Hu a seasoned and experienced orthopedic surgeon, but he is also one of the few podiatrists working in China today. Not only has Dr. Hu has performed thousands of surgeries as an orthopedic surgeon, but he has also had advanced post-graduate training in the USA (San Francisco) as a foot specialist. From the fitting orthotics and therapeutic shoes, to addressing ingrown nails, to more extensive evaluation and repair of the bones of the foot, Dr. Hu is ready, able and eager to get each patient up and about again, happy on their own two feet.

Nothing is more interesting, complex and intriguing than the human central nervous system, and this is a core element of the heritage and culture of Puhua International Hospital.
Puhua International Hospital (PIH) began in 1995 as a private, VIP neurology/neurosurgery service: an elite adjunct service of the famous Tiantan General Hospital, which is the pre-eminent neuro and neurosurgical facility in China. In the intervening years, PIH has expanded its range of services in many areas, and is now a licensed full-service international hospital in Beijing, China.
The neurology and neurosurgical services have been at the heart of change in those years of growth and development.
Drs. Zhou and Yang sustain the core diagnostic and therapeutic neurological services. These are two of the most accomplished neurological specialists in the world, and are the gateway to this elite specialty service for patients in Beijing, and also from all around the world, in areas ranging from minor headache to using high cellular biotechnology for some of the most obstinate neurological and metabolic diseases.
Drs. Han and Fu extend the range of neuro services to treating and repairing some of the most difficult cases in the world. Their work in combined surgical/cellular therapies for brain and spinal cord injuries is making history daily, and diseases that were thought untreatable yesterday are today seeing remarkable recovery today at Puhua International Hospital, truly a world center for innovation and progress in applied neurosciences.
