The Puhua Orthopedic A-Team: Drs. Nizar Al-Salahat, Hu and Ritchie
Dr. Nizar Al-Salahat is originally from Jordan, and is currently working as orthopedic physician at Puhua International Hospital.
He speaks Arabic, English, and conversational Chinese. Dr. Al-Salahat received his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria at 2000, and has worked in the orthopedics, emergency medicine, family medicine and as a CMO (Chief Medical Officer) for more than 12 years in the Middle East, Arabian Gulf, South East Asia, and China.
Dr. Al-Salahat is Jordanian Board-certified in Orthopedics & Trauma Surgery/Emergency & Family Practice. He has been an expedition physician to a number of locations, and has published papers on the topics of emergency medicine and orthopedics.
Dr. Al-Salahat has passed the European Board of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (EBOT) Exam. He also has wide practical experience in sports medicine and is a member of the American International Federation of Sport Medicine.
Complementing and cooperating with Dr. Nizar Al-Salahat in orthopedics at the Puhua Clinic is Dr. Baoyan Hu. Dr. Hu has a long and experienced history as an orthopedic surgeon, but has the additional specialty of podiatry (a relatively rare specialty in China). Dr. Hu was original trained in orthopedics in China, but has also done post-graduate training in the USA in San Francisco.
Dr. Malcolm Ritchie is another rare specialist in China today: he is a Chiropractic physician (Chiropractor, or specialist in the non-invasive care of the central nervous system).
Dr. Ritchie specializes in non-interventional therapies aimed at keeping his patients well, happy and pain-free. His pre-and post surgical work complements that of Drs. Dr. James Thomas Quinlan
